The United States Football Federation (USAFF) is an organization committed to elevating and empowering all women with limb differences through the development, support, growth, and inclusion of amputee soccer. The organization strives to build amputee soccer around the country and world for all who want to play the game while ensuring female amputees are supported in participating in this currently male-dominated sport.
USAFF holds six tenants close to heart:
Women amputee soccer players shall have access to the same resources, respect, opportunities, and equipment as non-amputee players.
The decision-making process for USAFF shall prioritize elevating, empowering, and supporting ALL women with limb differences.
- TOP PRIORITY
The physical and emotional well-being of women amputee soccer players shall be a top priority.
- ROLE MODELS
Women amputee players shall be celebrated as role models and ambassadors for the sport.
The development and advancement of women amputee soccer players shall be supported at all levels of the game, including the highest level of the sport.
USAFF will allocate a minimum of 10% of its resources, both financial and human, to partner with organizations focused on improving the lives of women with limb differences.
Adaptive sports have immense impacts on the lives they touch, greatly emotionally and physically benefitting athletes. The USAFF family acknowledges the necessity of adaptive sports, and the organization is committed to ensuring that every individual has access to amputee soccer.
USAFF was founded in November of 2022. The board of directors includes Mackenzie Gilmore, Cliff Donathan, Robert Maloy, Amie Donathan, Emily Eitzman, Hannah Donathan, Joan Bolanos, Abbey Donathan, and Casey Bantle.
